In loving memory of diVINYLS lead singer Christina Amphlett who left us way too soon to breast cancer. This gorgeous song is one of my favorites from the band's 1990 album.

I recorded it back in 1992 at Daily Planet studios thanks to my friend, music manager & co-producer, Charlie Gambetta. It was cut live in 2 takes - one for the acoustic guitar & live vocal and the second for the guitar solo & harmony vocal.

Chrissy & I became acquainted through my friend and drummer, Charley Drayton. Charley was the drummer in diVINYLS - and was also married to her. When my cousin's firehouse lost 11 men on 9/11, I produced a charity concert in NYC to benefit the widows and children of the lost heroes and I was joined by Chrissy & Charlie (along with my brother John on bass) to perform a mini diVINYLS set that night. The love in her huge heart was felt by all that night. I miss her dearly, as does the rest of the music world.

After Chrissy passed, a foundation was set up in her honor - itouchmyself.org - to promote women's breast health. I will be giving a major portion of the money from sales of this track to the foundation, so rest assured your donations will be going to a good place.
